How the calculation works
RGP-40 is chosen when any vehicles use the area, RGP-25 for walkways, lawns and golf carts. Pavers are 510 × 510 mm, about 3.85 to the m², plus 5% for cutting. Cell fill is area × cell height × about 90% open area, 15% more for soil; the bedding is 30 mm; the base course is typically 100 mm for foot traffic, 200 mm for cars and 300 mm for fire tenders. Example: a 25 × 20 m grassed car park needs RGP-40: 2,019 pavers, about 21 m³ of soil fill and 100 m³ of base.
